Green River State Park offers a beautiful desert oasis along the banks of the Green River within the town of Green River, Utah. The recently renovated campground provides a shaded, grassy environment under a canopy of cottonwood trees, making it a comfortable basecamp for desert adventures. The park features modern amenities including restrooms with hot showers, water and electric hookups at most campsites, and sheltered picnic tables with views of the river. The park is particularly popular with canoeists, kayakers, and rafters, serving as a prime put-in location for multi-day river trips through Labyrinth and Stillwater canyons leading to the Colorado River. The campground also includes a nine-hole golf course and a boat launch ramp. Its location within the city limits provides the unique advantage of easy access to restaurants, grocery stores, and other services just a short walk or drive away. Green River State Park accommodates both tent campers and RVers with its mix of sites offering hookups and non-hookup options. The park also features a rustic cabin with heat, air conditioning, refrigerator, microwave, and sleeping for six guests. With its combination of natural beauty, river access, and convenient amenities, the park serves as an ideal stop for travelers on Interstate 70 and a launching point for exploring southeastern Utah's canyon country.
