About

Great Salt Lake State Park, home to the Great Salt Lake Marina since 1978, provides a unique camping experience at the edge of the Western Hemisphere's largest saltwater lake. The campground features five RV sites near the visitor center with views of the lake, Antelope Island, and Black Rock. Sites 1-4 offer water and electrical hookups (30 and 50 amp), while Site 5 provides full hookups including sewer. Primitive beach tent sites offer a more rustic experience with fire pits and walking access only. The marina serves as headquarters for the Great Salt Lake Yacht Club, boasting what they call the saltiest sailors on earth. Campers have access to flush restrooms and showers, an RV dump station, and the visitor center gift shop. The nearby Saltair Resort hosts concerts and events throughout the season. The park sits at 4,200 feet elevation with sunrise to sunset access. The visitor center is open daily from 11 AM to 7 PM with exhibits about the lake's ecology, brine shrimp industry, and the migratory birds that depend on this critical habitat. Reservations are recommended through Reserve America, though walk-up sites may be available.
