About

Lower Narrows Campground sits in a remote desert canyon in the Stansbury Mountains, approximately 2.7 miles up South Willow Canyon from the National Forest boundary via gravel road. The campground offers just 3 single sites nestled among oak, maple, and juniper trees that provide partial shade. Willow Creek flows alongside the campground, creating a peaceful setting and offering opportunities for rainbow and brown trout fishing. This is a primitive campground with vault toilets but no potable water, so campers must bring their own water supply. The multi-use Stansbury Front and Medina Flat Trails begin nearby, providing access to the rugged Deseret Peak Wilderness for hikers, horseback riders, and backpackers. South Willow Canyon Road is a scenic drive through interesting narrows, though the gravel surface and narrow width make it unsuitable for trailers. The campground operates seasonally and is located in bear country. Proper food storage is required, and violations can carry fines up to $5,000.

Directions
