About

Grand Lake St. Marys State Park offers multiple picnic shelter houses for day-use rental around the shores of Ohio's largest inland lake. The park features shelter houses in the East Bank/Villanova area available first-come-first-served, plus reservable shelters on the west end of the lake. Each shelter includes picnic tables and fireplaces, with restroom access nearby. The scenic lakeside setting makes these shelters popular for family reunions, birthday parties, and group gatherings. The 13,500-acre lake was originally constructed as a feeder reservoir for the Miami-Erie Canal and was once recognized as the world's largest man-made reservoir. The surrounding 591 acres of parkland offer boating, fishing, swimming beaches, and trails. Note that these shelters are for day-use only; overnight camping is available at the separate Grand Lake St. Marys Campground, which offers 216 campsites and cabins.

From St. Marys, head west on State Route 703 for approximately 1 mile to the park entrance at 834 Edgewater Drive.
