About

Grand Lake St. Marys State Park Campground is situated on the shores of a 13,500-acre reservoir that was constructed in the early 1800s as a feeder for the Miami-Erie Canal and recognized for many years as the world's largest man-made lake. The park became one of Ohio's first state parks in 1949, preserving this historic waterway for recreation. The campground provides 216 campsites, with 135-148 equipped with electric hookups and approximately 33 offering full hookups with water and sewer. Sites are spread throughout the campground with convenient access to the lake. Modern facilities include flush toilets, hot showers, laundry facilities, and a dump station. Campers have exclusive access to a private swimming beach, boat launch ramps, and boat docks with tie-ups. The campground also features camper cabins and tent rentals available seasonally. Pets are welcome in designated areas. The park's location on the western edge of Ohio makes it accessible from Interstate 75 and provides a peaceful lakeside setting ideal for boating, fishing, swimming, and enjoying one of Ohio's most historic reservoirs.
