About

Graham Corral Horse Camp is a specialized equestrian campground nestled in the ponderosa pine forests of Deschutes National Forest, six miles northwest of Sisters, Oregon. This horse-focused facility provides early-season access to the extensive trail network in the area, making it a popular destination for riders eager to hit the trails as soon as snow melts. The campground offers eight sites total, with four sites equipped with divided four-stall box corrals and remaining sites sharing access to one large communal corral. Each site includes a fire pit and picnic table. The forest setting provides natural shade and opportunities for wildlife viewing among the pines and birch trees that thrive in the wetter areas. Vault toilets and a manure disposal bin are provided, though campers must bring all water for themselves and their stock animals as potable water is not available on-site. The location offers convenient access to numerous trail riding opportunities, including the nearby Metolius Windigo Trail. Highway 242 (McKenzie Pass Highway) provides relatively easy access via Forest Roads 1012 and 1012-300. The campground is designed specifically for equestrians, and the Forest Service requests that visitors without horses consider other nearby campgrounds out of courtesy and safety. All visitors must use weed-free feed for their animals as part of the forest's invasive species prevention efforts.
