About
Glade Creek Campground is a primitive forested camping area situated at the end of Glade Creek Road near Prince, West Virginia, within New River Gorge National Park and Preserve. Located along the banks of the New River, the campground provides direct access to the Glade Creek Trailhead and offers opportunities for fishing, swimming, and hiking. The facility features 11 total campsites: 6 walk-in tent sites and 5 drive-in sites that can accommodate tents, small RVs (less than 25 feet in total length), or medium RVs (22-31.5 feet in length). Large RVs and trailers are not recommended, and there are no pull-through sites available. This is a true primitive camping experience with composting toilets available year-round and trash/recycling collection, but no potable water, electricity, hookups, or showers. Campers must bring their own water. One accessible campsite is available, and the area includes accessible restroom facilities, a picnic area, fishing access, and a portion of the Glade Creek Trail. The campground operates on a first-come, first-served basis with no advance reservations and no camping fees. Regulations include a 14-day limit per 28-day period, maximum of 8 people and 4 pets per site, quiet hours from 10 PM to 6 AM, and leashed pets only.
