Grandview Shelter 3 is a day-use picnic shelter located in the Grandview area of New River Gorge National Park and Preserve. Originally part of one of West Virginia's most popular state parks before becoming part of the national park in 1990, the Grandview area sits 1,400 feet above the New River with spectacular views of the gorge below. The shelter itself is shaded by forest canopy and can accommodate approximately 30 people inside and 42 outside. The shelter is equipped with two charcoal grills and one electrical outlet. Nearby amenities include a drinking fountain with side spigot, ADA-accessible restroom, playground equipment, volleyball court, baseball field, and basketball court. The Grandview area also offers five hiking trails, overlooks, and a seasonal visitor center with ranger-led activities. This is a day-use facility only with no overnight camping. Reservations are made through Recreation.gov up to 12 months in advance. The shelter must be left in the same condition as found, with all refuse properly disposed of. Bouncy houses, drones, fireworks, dunk tanks, and wading pools are prohibited. Weddings and wedding receptions require a Special Use Permit.

From Beckley, follow I-64 East five miles to Exit 129B. From Lewisburg, follow I-64 West forty miles to Exit 129. From either exit, turn right and follow Route 9 North six miles to Grandview.
