Glacial Lakes State Park's camper cabins provide a comfortable basecamp for exploring the rolling prairie hills and glacial features of west-central Minnesota. Located on the south side of Signalness (Mountain) Lake, the cabins offer proximity to fishing for walleye, bass, northern pike, perch, crappies, and sunfish. Minnesota residents do not need a fishing license to fish within the park. Boat rentals including rowboats, canoes, kayaks, and stand-up paddleboards are available from the park office. The four year-round cabins (Kame, Kettle, Glacial Erratic, and Esker) feature heat and electricity for off-season comfort. Esker Cabin is ADA-accessible and accommodates five guests, while the other three sleep six on double-over-single bunk beds. Each cabin includes a screened porch and glowing wood interior. Cooking inside is prohibited except for crockpots and coffeepots; outdoor cooking is done at the fire ring provided at each site. The park connects to the town of Starbuck via a five-mile paved trail, and the campground area provides flush toilets, showers, and drinking water during the main season. Primitive vault toilets remain available year-round. Guests must bring their own sleeping bags or blankets.
