Big Horn Campground is a convenient free campground in Gila National Forest, located just one-tenth of a mile northwest of Glenwood along US Highway 180. The campground is typically used for short-term stays of one or two days and is within walking distance to the town of Glenwood. It is the closest designated campground to the Catwalk National Recreation Area, making it an ideal base for exploring this popular hiking destination. The landscape features pinon and juniper trees at an elevation of 4,757 feet. Each campsite includes a picnic table and fire ring. The campground has basic amenities including vault toilets but no potable water, so campers should bring their own water supply. Parking is limited to two vehicles per campsite. The campground operates year-round on a first-come, first-served basis with no fees or advance reservations. A 14-day stay limit applies. Pets must be leashed, and OHV/ATV use, hunting, shooting, and stock animals are prohibited in the campground.

Located at the north end of Glenwood, New Mexico, on the west side of US Highway 180. Watch for sign along the highway.
