French Cabin Snow Park
This is a day-use only Sno-Park with no overnight camping allowed. Operates seasonally during winter months (December through March) when snow conditions permit. Road plowing to the site was paused for the 2025-2026 season. A Washington State Sno-Park Permit is required December 1 through March 31.
About
French Cabin Sno-Park is a seasonal winter recreation area located in the Okanogan-Wenatchee National Forest in Kittitas County, Washington. The facility serves as a trailhead and parking area for accessing 12 miles of groomed snowmobile trails, with additional opportunities for cross-country skiing and snowshoeing. The Sno-Park features approximately 25 parking spaces and portable toilet facilities. No potable water is available, and visitors must bring their own supplies. A Washington State Sno-Park Permit is required from December 1 through March 31, with options including a $25 daily permit, $50 seasonal permit, or $70 seasonal permit with Special Groomed Trail sticker. This is strictly a day-use facility with no overnight camping allowed. The site is intended for winter recreation access only, not as an overnight destination.
Directions
From Cle Elum, travel 15 miles north on Highway 903/Salmon la Sac Road to Forest Road 4308. Turn left to the Sno-Park.
