Fort Goff Campground is a small, primitive campground situated on the banks of the Klamath River within Klamath National Forest. This no-fee facility offers 3 walk-in campsites located 20 to 75 feet from vehicle parking areas along Highway 96. The campground provides basic amenities including vault toilets and fire rings, but campers must come prepared with their own drinking water and pack out all trash and waste. The location features easy foot path access to the Klamath River for fishing and swimming, while boaters and rafters can launch from Portuguese Creek River Access less than one mile east. A historic cemetery sits across the road from the campground, and the Fort Goff Trail offers nearby hiking opportunities. Dogs are permitted on leash, and camping is limited to 14 consecutive days.
Directions
From I-5, travel west on Highway 96 for approximately 50 miles to the campground on the left. The campground is not signed on Highway 96.
