About

Flatrock is a US Army Corps of Engineers campground situated on Hords Creek Lake in the gently rolling live oak country of central Texas. The campground provides over 50 shaded campsites, most with water and electric hookups, and ten sites with full sewer connections. Premium sites include screened-in picnic shelters, double sites, and 50-amp electrical service. The lake is stocked with largemouth bass, white crappie, channel catfish, blue catfish, flathead catfish, and bluegill. A fishing dock provides easy lake access, and when water levels permit, gravel swimming areas offer relief from the Texas heat. Water skiing is popular when lake levels are high enough. The campground has modern bathhouses with hot-water showers and two dump stations. Neighboring Friendship Park and Lakeside Park are nearby for additional day-use options. The town of Coleman, eight miles east, provides supplies and services.
