About
Fiddlers Lake Campground occupies a prime location on the shores of a scenic mountain lake within Shoshone National Forest's Wind River Range. The 20 campsites spread along the lakeshore offer opportunities for fishing, non-motorized boating, and wildlife viewing in a remote alpine setting. Sites can accommodate trailers up to 40 feet long, though the gravel forest road access should be considered. Amenities include five vault toilets, potable water available from a hand pump, picnic tables at each site, and cook grates. Bear boxes are provided and food storage is mandatory in this active bear habitat. There is no cell service at the campground. The 16-day stay limit applies. The nearby Christi Lake Trailhead provides access to the Popo Agie Wilderness and surrounding high-country lakes, with a vault toilet and horse corrals available for backcountry pack trips. The campground serves as an excellent basecamp for day hikes and extended wilderness exploration.
Directions
