About

Fenwick Mines Pavilion is a reservable group shelter situated at the base of Bald Mountain and adjacent to Mill Creek in Craig County, Virginia. Part of the larger Fenwick Mines Day-Use Area within Jefferson National Forest, the pavilion accommodates groups up to 100 people and includes ample parking, multiple picnic tables, three large barbecue grills, and horseshoe pits. The surrounding recreation area features a small fishing pond and approximately one mile of trails, including a wheelchair-accessible wetlands trail that passes through stream and forest habitats with excellent wildlife viewing opportunities. The trail leads to the Falls at Fenwick, a picturesque multi-tiered waterfall. Visitors also have access to the Bald Mountain overlook and the gated Mill Creek Road, popular with mountain bikers and equestrians. This is strictly a day-use facility.
