About

Moncove Lake State Park Campground sits on the southeastern edge of West Virginia in Monroe County, offering a peaceful retreat centered around a scenic lake. The 48-site campground provides 34 sites with electric hookups for RVs and trailers, while the remaining sites accommodate tent campers seeking a more primitive experience. Every site is equipped with a picnic table and fire ring with grill surface, and the campground features a central bathhouse with showers, drinking water, and a dump station. The surrounding park covers 250 acres and connects to a 500-acre wildlife management area, creating ample opportunities for fishing, boating, swimming, hiking, and birdwatching. The lake is stocked and popular with anglers, while the mixed hardwood forests attract diverse wildlife. Three picnic shelters are available for day use by reservation, and playground areas make this a family-friendly destination.
