About

Sampson State Park occupies over 2,000 acres on the eastern shore of Seneca Lake, making it one of the premier camping destinations in New York's Finger Lakes region. The campground features 243 electric campsites distributed across five wooded loops, each equipped with its own comfort station offering flush toilets and showers. Every site includes a gravel pad with fire ring and picnic table, with electric hookups providing 20 or 30 amp service. The park excels as a water recreation destination with a large sandy beach offering guarded swimming from 11am to 7pm during summer months. The newly remodeled marina provides 96 boat slips, a multi-lane launch ramp, and gas pumps for boaters exploring Seneca Lake. On land, visitors can enjoy tennis courts, basketball and volleyball courts, horseshoes, playgrounds, and a scenic lakeside trail. Facilities are largely accessible to visitors with disabilities, and the park welcomes pets with standard leash requirements. A camp store and restaurant serve campers on site. The campground operates seasonally from mid-May through mid-October, with reservations available up to 9 months in advance through ReserveAmerica.
