Cayuga Lake State Park is located on the shore of Cayuga Lake, the longest of New York's Finger Lakes, near Seneca Falls in the heart of wine country. The park's terrain is flat at the lakeshore where the beach and sun lawns are situated, then slopes gently uphill to the camping areas and cabins. The scenic highlight is the expansive view of Cayuga Lake. The campground is organized into three loops: Muskie, Smelt, and Sturgeon, which are set around central restrooms, a bathhouse, recycling center, and dumpster. Sites accommodate both tents and trailers, with many electric hookups available. The park also offers 14 rental cabins. Rates for campsites range from $17-$24 per night for New York residents, with an additional $5 per night for non-residents. In addition to camping, the park features a swimming beach with lifeguards during summer season, a boat launch, playground, playing field, and four rental pavilions that accommodate 36 to 127 people. Fishing is excellent, with shallow water near the park offering largemouth bass, bullheads, and carp, while deeper water holds northern pike, smallmouth bass, lake trout, landlocked salmon, and many other species. The boat launch operates from May 1 through October 31. Reservations are handled through ReserveAmerica.
