About

Cuivre River State Park's Equestrian Campground offers a dedicated camping experience for horse enthusiasts exploring the park's equestrian trails. Located within Missouri's rugged Ozark border region, the campground provides shaded sites equipped with hitching posts, accommodating both primitive campers and those seeking electric or electric/water hookups. The campground operates year-round, with full amenities including showers and water available from April 15 through October 31. During the off-season, potable water remains accessible via a frost-free spigot at Campsite 69. The facility includes an accessible vault toilet and one ADA-accessible campsite with an extended-end table, fire ring, lantern post, and electric hookup. Reservations can be made up to 12 months in advance through the Missouri State Parks online system or by calling 877-ICampMO. Note that occupancy of this campground requires camping with a horse, distinguishing it from the park's other camping options.
