About

Nestled in the northern Green Mountains of Vermont, Elmore State Park surrounds the pristine waters of Lake Elmore in Lamoille County. The campground offers 44 tent/RV sites and 15 rustic lean-tos spread across wooded loops, with sites accommodating equipment up to 45 feet depending on location. Each site includes a fire ring and picnic table, and the campground provides flush toilets, coin-operated hot showers, and potable water spigots throughout. The centerpiece of the day-use area is a large sandy beach perfect for swimming, backed by a historic Civilian Conservation Corps-built beach house from the 1930s that houses bathrooms, changing rooms, and a concession stand. The park offers canoe, kayak, pedal boat, and paddleboard rentals for exploring the lake. Anglers can fish for bass, perch, and northern pike. Hiking is a major draw, with trails leading to the summit of Elmore Mountain where a fire tower provides sweeping views of the surrounding peaks and valleys. The park also offers a playground, volleyball court, and horseshoe pit. An RV dump station is available, though no hookups are provided at individual sites.
