Little River State Park Campground

Little River State Park, located just 30 miles south of Burlington off I-89, is home to central Vermont's largest and most popular campground. The 101-site developed campground includes 81 tent and RV sites, 20 lean-tos, and 5 electric cabins spread throughout the wooded terrain of Mount Mansfield State Forest. Four restroom buildings provide flush toilets and hot/cold running water, with three offering token-operated hot showers. The campground offers an RV dump station but no hookups. Each campsite includes a fire ring, picnic table, and grill. Within the campground, campers have access to swimming beaches, play areas, ball fields, a boat launch, and canoe/kayak rentals. Miles of hiking and mountain biking trails wind through the surrounding forest, and a nature center provides educational programming. For those seeking more solitude, 27 remote campsites along the Waterbury Reservoir shoreline are accessible only by boat and available first-come, first-served. The park's location on the reservoir makes it a prime destination for paddling, fishing, and swimming throughout the summer season.

Directions

From I-89, take Exit 10 toward Waterbury/Stowe. Head north on Route 100 for approximately 1.5 miles, then turn west onto Little River Road. Follow Little River Road for about 3.5 miles to the park entrance.
