About
Elm Bluff Campground sits along a beautiful stretch of the Alabama River within the Army Corps of Engineers' Alabama River Lakes recreation area. This rustic facility offers 11 standard nonelectric campsites, each with water hookups and large paved parking pads suitable for various vehicle types. The campground maintains basic outhouse facilities and provides a peaceful setting for riverside camping. The location is particularly popular with anglers seeking catfish in the Alabama River and boaters accessing the William Dannelly Reservoir. A boat ramp is available nearby for direct river access. The surrounding area lies within Alabama's Black Prairie Belt, offering scenic views and quiet natural surroundings. Cell service is limited at this location, making it a good choice for those seeking to disconnect. The campground operates on a reservation system through Recreation.gov, and the honor box payment system is no longer available. Pets are welcome throughout the property.
