About

Eagle Creek Campground is a rustic Forest Service campground situated along the Yellowstone River in Montana's Custer Gallatin National Forest. Located just 2 miles northeast of Gardiner on Jardine Road, the campground sits at the doorstep of Yellowstone National Park, with the northwest entrance approximately 10 minutes away. The campground features 20 sites spread across gravel roads with unpaved surfaces. Each site includes a fire ring, picnic table, and bear box. Two double sites accommodate larger groups, while sites 19 and 20 are designated for stock users until 4 PM, then become first-come, first-served for one night. The adjacent horse corrals make this a popular choice for equestrian campers. Maximum RV length is 48 feet, though sites are back-in only and not all are level. This is a primitive campground with vault toilets but no potable water, hookups, showers, or trash service. Campers must bring their own water and pack out all trash. The Yellowstone River Trailhead within the campground provides access to hiking, fishing, and rafting, while wildlife viewing opportunities include elk in the surrounding area.
