Eagle Creek Campground is located 2 miles northeast of Gardiner on Jardine Road in the Custer Gallatin National Forest, approximately 55 miles south of Livingston along scenic Highway 89. Sitting at an elevation of 6,100 feet, the campground overlooks Yellowstone National Park's majestic peaks and the Gallatin Mountains. A small creek lined with aspen trees runs along the west side of the campground, and elk frequently roam through the area. The campground offers 20 sites including 18 single sites and 2 double sites, accommodating RVs up to 48 feet on gravel roads with unpaved sites. Sites 19 and 20 are located adjacent to horse corrals and are reserved for stock users until 4 pm, then available first-come, first-served for one night only. All sites include fire rings, picnic tables, and bear boxes for food storage. No hookups, water, or dump stations are available. Vault toilets serve the campground. Most sites are reservable through Recreation.gov, with some first-come, first-served sites available, though the campground is typically full during peak season. The Yellowstone River Trailhead is located within the campground, providing excellent hiking opportunities. Horse corrals are available for both campers and day users. The Yellowstone River is nearby for rafting and fishing. The Northwest entrance to Yellowstone National Park is approximately 10 minutes away. Food storage restrictions are in effect from March 1 through December 1.

Directions

From Livingston, head south toward Gardiner on Highway 89 for 54 miles. Turn left onto Jardine Road. Go 0.9 miles, stay right at the split. Head another 1.2 miles, campground will be on your left.
