About

Twin Creeks Picnic is a reservable group picnic area located alongside Fish Lake, Twin Creeks, and the Fishlake Scenic Byway at an elevation of 8,800 feet. This is a day-use facility only with no overnight camping permitted. The site can accommodate up to 100 people and 30 vehicles. The picnic area features a large covered shelter overlooking Fish Lake with picnic tables, grills, and a campfire ring. Flush toilets and drinking water are provided. The parking area and trail to the shelter are paved and ADA accessible. An amphitheater is located across the parking area. Fish Lake is Utah's largest natural mountain lake at 2,500 acres and is famous for its 20-40 pound Mackinaw lake trout. Visitors also enjoy fishing for rainbow trout and splake, boating, swimming, and viewing spawning salmon from the boardwalk along Twin Creeks in mid to late fall. The 5-mile Pelican Canyon Trail and Lakeshore National Recreation Trail are nearby.
