About
Douthat State Park Cabins and Lodges preserve the legacy of CCC craftsmanship while providing comfortable mountain retreats. The 32 cabins range from efficiency to three-bedroom units, each featuring heat and AC, full kitchens with refrigerators, stoves, microwaves, and all necessary cookware. Cabins 1-25, 33, and 35 have open porches with rocking chairs, while cabins 26-30 feature enclosed screened porches. Most cabins have wood-burning fireplaces with one complimentary bundle provided. Cabin 34 has a gas-log fireplace. Three lodges accommodate larger groups: Douthat Lodge (12 guests, renovated in 2025) sits atop the mountain with five bedrooms and three bathrooms. Creasey Lodge (18 guests) is a universally accessible single-story structure near the park office with WiFi. Beards Mountain Lodge (16 guests) is fully universally accessible with six bedrooms and a gas-log fireplace. All lodges include dishwashers and washer/dryers, amenities not available in the cabins. Guests must bring their own linens and towels. Pets are welcome for a nightly fee. The park offers hiking trails, lake swimming, fishing, and boat rentals.
