About

McClintic Point Campground occupies a scenic location on the northern shores of Lake Moomaw, a 2,530-acre reservoir with 43.5 miles of shoreline and depths reaching 150 feet. The campground offers a rustic, easygoing atmosphere with sites nestled among scattered trees and open fields, including some coveted lakefront locations. The campground operates on a first-come, first-served basis with 21 individual sites and 3 group sites accommodating 20-35 guests each. Facilities are basic: vault toilets are available but there is no potable water, so campers must bring their own. Sites have no hookups. Maximum of 3 camping units and 2 vehicles per single site. Fishing is the main draw here, with brown and rainbow trout, bass, and crappie populating the lake. Boating, canoeing, and water skiing are also popular. Note that there is no cell phone reception at the campground. The nearby town of Warm Springs offers restaurants and supplies.
