About

Dog Creek Camp is a primitive dispersed camping area located in the Nez Perce-Clearwater National Forests of north-central Idaho, in Clearwater County. The site is situated along Dog Creek amid mixed conifer forest typical of the region. As an undeveloped dispersed camping area on National Forest land, Dog Creek Camp offers a basic backcountry experience without formal amenities or services. Campers should be prepared to be self-sufficient, bringing their own water and packing out all trash. Standard National Forest dispersed camping regulations apply, including a 14-day stay limit. The surrounding Nez Perce-Clearwater National Forests provide opportunities for hiking, fishing, and wildlife viewing. The area is remote with limited to no cell coverage.
