About
Crossing the bridge over to Washington Creek Campground, visitors gain a splendid view overlooking the North Fork of the Clearwater River. This campground offers one host site and 23 campsites, including one group site. Each site contains a gravel parking pad, picnic table and fire ring, with access to 5 restrooms and 3 water spigots distributed around the loop for convenience. Washington Ridge Trail departs from the campground, offering visitors quick access to higher elevation perspectives. The trail is open to hikers, stock users, bicyclists and motorcycles. With river access along the full length of the campground, the area offers ample opportunities for fishing, swimming or just dipping one's toes in the crisp clear water. The campground sits at 2,100 feet elevation in a scenic forested setting along the North Fork Clearwater River corridor.
Directions
From Headquarters, ID, head south on State Highway 11 S for 3.4 miles and turn left onto Camp 57 Rd. Continue for 14.5 miles and turn left onto French Mountain Rd. Drive 9.7 miles and turn left onto Beaver Creek Rd/N Frk Rd. Continue for 6.2 miles to campground.
