About

Dinner Station Campground is a 5-acre hillside campground nestled along Birch Creek in the Beaverhead-Deerlodge National Forest near Dillon, Montana. At 7,200 feet elevation, the campground offers 8 individual campsites that are free and first-come-first-served, plus a group site available for $50 per night. Each site includes a picnic table and fire ring, with ADA-accessible vault toilets and potable water from a hand pump available during summer months. The campground provides access to excellent fishing along Birch Creek and serves as a base for numerous nearby trailheads. Bear-resistant food storage boxes are provided. There is no cell phone coverage in the area, no garbage service (pack it in, pack it out), and the access road is not plowed in winter. Trailer length is limited to 16 feet due to the hillside terrain and tight site configurations. The 16-day maximum stay limit applies. The campground is managed by the Dillon Ranger District.
