About

Dinkey Creek Campground is a well-developed facility located adjacent to Dinkey Creek in the High Sierra region of Sierra National Forest. The campground spreads along the banks of the creek through a thick forest of Ponderosa pines and cedars, providing a scenic high country setting with shade, streams, and open space. The campground offers 127 individual sites plus one group site that accommodates up to 50 people. Sites are a mix of standard and tent-only configurations. All sites feature paved spurs, picnic tables, and fire grills. Both flush and vault toilets are provided throughout the facility, and potable drinking water is available. ADA-accessible sites are also available. An on-site amphitheater hosts interpretive programs on summer weekends covering topics like local history, wildflowers, constellations, and forestry. A campground host is present during the operating season. Pay showers are available nearby when Dinky Lakes Inn is open. Reservations are handled through Recreation.gov, with individual sites bookable six months in advance and group sites twelve months in advance.
