About
Buck Meadow Campground is located at the confluence of Snow Corral and Deer Creeks along McKinley Grove Road in the Sierra National Forest. The campground sits on a large, flat sandy area adjacent to Deer Creek at an elevation of 6,800 feet. Large lodgepole pine trees provide shade throughout the 10-site campground. The campground is accessed via a combination of paved and dirt roads. Visitors should be prepared for a remote experience as cell phone service is not available in the area, and the nearest services are located at Dinkey Creek, approximately 20 minutes away. The location makes an excellent base for exploring the surrounding Sierra National Forest. Campers must bring their own water as potable water is not available on-site. Vault toilets are provided. The campground accommodates RVs up to 35 feet in length, with a maximum of 6 people per site and a 14-day stay limit. Bear country precautions are necessary, and proper food storage is required.
