About

Burnham Point State Park is a small and quiet campground located northeast of Lake Ontario on the scenic St. Lawrence River in the Thousand Islands region. The park offers 45 lightly-wooded tent and trailer campsites, 19 of which are equipped with 20-amp electrical hookups. With no water or sewer hookups at individual sites, this is an ideal spot for campers seeking a more rustic experience while still having access to modern amenities like showers and a dump station. The park's waterfront location makes it perfect for boating and fishing enthusiasts. Boaters can explore local towns, islands, and historic sites for miles along the scenic river, while anglers can target popular game fish including bass, pike, muskellunge, and walleye. The park features boat docks and a boat launch to accommodate watercraft. In addition to camping, the park offers a playground, picnic areas with grills, and a pavilion available for rental. Site 11 is designated as ADA accessible. The campground operates seasonally from Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day, with reservations available up to 9 months in advance through Reserve America.
