Devils Pass Cabin sits in an alpine valley in the Kenai Mountains of south-central Alaska, closely surrounded by mountains and not far from Devil's Pass Lake. This 16x16 log cabin is one of nine Forest Service cabins along the 38-mile Resurrection Pass Trail. It sleeps 6 with bunk space and includes a table, counter space, benches, oil stove for heating, and an outhouse. The cabin is accessible via Devil's Creek Trail (10 miles), Resurrection Pass South Trailhead (17.2 miles), or Resurrection Pass North Trailhead (21.6 miles). Access is by foot, bike, horseback, ski, or snowmobile only. Snowmobiles are permitted December 1 through April 30 on alternating winter seasons. Horse and pack stock are prohibited on the trail April 1 through June 30. Visitors must bring sleeping bags, sleeping pads, cooking stove, cooking gear, food, and #1 stove oil for heating. Water is available from Juneau Creek but must be boiled for 5 minutes before drinking. Winter travelers should evaluate avalanche conditions; Devil's Creek Trail is not recommended for winter use due to avalanche hazards.

Directions

The cabin is 10 miles from the Devil's Creek Trailhead, 17.2 miles from Resurrection Pass South Trailhead, and 21.6 miles from Resurrection Pass North Trailhead. Access is by hiking, biking, skiing, horseback, or snowmobile only. Winter travelers should use Resurrection Pass Trail rather than Devil's Creek Trail due to avalanche hazards.
