About

Crescent Creek Campground is a small, intimate campground located at Mile 3 of Quartz Creek Road in Chugach National Forest. The 9 sites are situated along the banks of Crescent Creek within a spruce forest, providing a serene setting near Cooper Landing on the Kenai Peninsula. This first-come, first-served campground operates from mid-May through mid-September, depending on weather conditions. Sites accommodate tents and small RVs, with firewood available from the camp host during the operating season. The campground serves as an excellent base for hikers accessing the Crescent Creek Trail, which climbs 6.2 miles through spruce and birch forest to Crescent Lake. Anglers can also enjoy river fishing opportunities in nearby waters. Facilities include restrooms but no potable water, so campers should bring their own drinking water. During the off-season, the campground remains accessible but has no fees, no services, and campers must pack out all garbage. Outhouse facilities may be unavailable during winter months.

Directions
