About

Delaware Lake Damsite Shelters offers two group picnic shelters managed by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers at the Dam Site Recreation Area on Delaware Lake in central Ohio. This is a day-use facility only with no overnight camping permitted. The park closes at 9:30 PM daily. Elm Grove Shelter sits just 50 feet from the parking area, cradled between rows of trees, featuring a textured patio with pedestal tables and a group grill. It accommodates up to 120 people and 45 vehicles. Shady Ridge Shelter is nestled under elms atop a grassy ridge, providing more privacy and space for up to 100 people. Both shelters include 15-amp electric hookups for day-use purposes, access to restrooms, water fountains, playgrounds (separate areas for big and little kids), and a volleyball court. Anglers can take advantage of fishing opportunities on the river below the dam. Delaware State Park is just over a mile away, offering additional activities from jet skiing to disc golf.
