About

Alum Creek State Park Campground is one of central Ohio's most popular camping destinations, located just minutes from Columbus, Westerville, and Delaware. The 286-site campground spreads across multiple loops offering a mix of shaded wooded sites and open sunny areas. Each campsite includes a picnic table and fire ring, with electrical hookups providing 20, 30, and 50-amp service. A select number of full hookup sites offer water and sewer connections in addition to electric. The campground provides excellent facilities including modern heated restrooms with hot showers, a dump station, and free WiFi throughout the grounds. A camp store serves camper needs, while recreation amenities include basketball courts, horseshoe pits, and playgrounds. The park's 3,387-acre reservoir is a major draw, offering boating access, a swimming beach, and fishing opportunities. Beyond the campground, Alum Creek State Park features a nature center with summer programs, a large off-leash dog park, and miniature golf. Camper cabins and cedar cabins are also available for those preferring roofed accommodations. The park can accommodate large RVs up to 80 feet, though all sites are back-in only.
