Delaware Day Use
This is a day-use only facility. No overnight camping is permitted. Shelter houses are available for reservation through ReserveOhio.
About
Delaware Day Use refers to the day-use facilities at Delaware State Park, a 1,686-acre park surrounding Delaware Lake in central Ohio. These areas include picnic tables in scenic spots overlooking the lake and a reservable shelter house for group gatherings. This is not an overnight camping area. Day-use facilities are separate from the park's campground, which has 214 sites located elsewhere in the park. Visitors to the day-use area can enjoy lake views, access to hiking trails, and proximity to the park's 800-foot swimming beach with bathhouse and snack bar. Ohio State Parks do not charge entrance fees, so day visitors can access picnic areas without a fee. Shelter house reservations can be made through ReserveOhio up to one year in advance, with a 3-day minimum advance booking requirement.
Directions
From Columbus, take US-23 North to Delaware. Turn east on US-36/SR-37 and continue approximately 5 miles to the park entrance on the south side of the road.
