About

Delaware Day Use is part of Delaware State Park, a 1,686-acre recreational area located in Delaware County, Ohio, featuring a 1,300-acre reservoir. As a day-use area, it provides access to the park's extensive recreational facilities without overnight camping. The park offers an 800-foot public swimming beach with bathhouse, showers, and a snack bar during the swimming season. Boating is permitted with unlimited horsepower, and the park features two boat launch ramps, boat rentals, and a fully equipped marina offering fuel and supplies. Anglers can fish from shore or boat for largemouth bass, crappie, bluegill, channel catfish, saugeye, and white bass. A valid Ohio fishing license is required. Seven miles of hiking trails connect various areas of the park, traversing meadows, woodlands, and wetlands. The diverse habitats support over 200 bird species, making it popular for birdwatching. Picnic areas with tables overlook the lake, and picnic shelters are available for rental. The adjacent 4,670-acre Delaware Wildlife Area offers additional opportunities for hunting and fishing.
