About
Alum Creek Group Campground provides dedicated group camping facilities within one of Ohio's most popular state parks, located less than 30 minutes north of Columbus. The group camp area sits off Lewis Center Road between the beach entrance and South Old State Road, offering a natural setting along the sprawling reservoir that draws over two million visitors annually.
The group sites are equipped with electric and water hookups, and campers have access to centrally located bathhouses featuring flush toilets and heated showers. A dump station is available within the campground complex. Beyond the camping amenities, group campers can take advantage of the park's extensive recreational offerings including boating and water skiing on the reservoir's southern section, fishing from boats or shore, and swimming at the 3,000-foot beach.
The park features over 40 miles of multi-use trails for hiking, mountain biking, and horseback riding. On-site recreational facilities include miniature golf, basketball and volleyball courts, horseshoe pits, and playgrounds. Nature programs led by the park naturalist are offered throughout the summer season.
