About

Alum Creek Equestrian Camp provides primitive camping accommodations specifically designed for horseback riders at Alum Creek State Park in Delaware County, Ohio. The campground features 30 primitive sites, each equipped with high lines and firm ground suitable for horses. Sites can accommodate up to six people and include fire rings and picnic tables. Potable water is available throughout the campground for horses, and a few shaded sites offer relief during warmer months. The equestrian camp includes permanent primitive restroom facilities supplemented by portable toilets. An RV dump station is available for campers with trailers. The campground serves as a trailhead for approximately 38 miles of bridle trails that wind along the lakeshore through mature beech-maple forests and across deep ravines, with trail difficulty ranging from easy to challenging. Reservations can be made up to six months in advance through ReserveOhio.com or by calling 866-644-6727.
