About

Dead Horse Ranch State Park's camping cabins provide a comfortable glamping experience in Arizona's Verde Valley near Cottonwood. The eight river-adjacent log cabins sit within a scenic mesquite bosque, offering a blend of rustic charm and modern convenience. Each cabin features electricity, climate control with heating and air-conditioning, ceiling fan, and furnishings including a full-size bed, bunk bed, table with chairs, and a dresser. Outdoor amenities at each cabin include a picnic table, barbecue grill, and individual fire ring. A shared electrified ramada provides additional cooking and gathering space. Family-style shower facilities and accessible restrooms are located a short walk from the cabin area. The park also offers a visitor center with a gift shop carrying camping supplies, snacks, and souvenirs. The cabins are dry with no water hookups, and guests must supply their own bedding and linens. Pets are welcome at cabins 3-8 only with advance notice. The park features excellent fishing at the lagoons, hiking trails including the ADA-accessible Canopy Trail, and wildlife viewing along the Verde River.
