A slow moving weather system will continue to impact the region through Sunday. Thunderstorms embedded in the more general rainfall have the potential to produce flash flooding, particularly over recent burn scars. * WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is possible, along with flash flooding over recent burn scars. * WHERE...All of South Central and Southeast Montana, and Sheridan County Wyoming. * WHEN...Through Sunday afternoon. * IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of creeks and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - Total rainfall amounts between 1 and 3 inches will be common across the watch area. Locally heavier totals over 4 inches are possible where thunderstorm activity is more persistent. - The Robertson Draw, East Side, Elk, and McGhee-Remington burn scars are particularly vulnerable to Flash Flooding and debris flows. Dayboard 9 Campground is a secluded boat-access-only destination within Bighorn Canyon National Recreation Area, positioned approximately 9 miles south of Ok-A-Beh Marina or 27 miles north of Barry's Landing by water. This primitive campground offers 5 gravel campsites, each equipped with a picnic table, bear box for food storage, and fire ring. Seasonal amenities include a floating courtesy dock and floating composting restrooms, which are installed from the third week of May through the end of September. A large grassy landing area accommodates non-motorized watercraft. Firewood is typically plentiful early in the season but may be limited later. Note that collecting firewood within the park is prohibited. The campground operates on a first-come, first-served basis with no reservations and no fees. Quiet hours are enforced from 10:00 PM to 6:00 AM (boat idling prohibited), and generators may run from 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM. Maximum stay is 14 consecutive nights within a 28-day period. Pets must be leashed at all times and cannot be left unattended.
