Five Springs Falls Campground

Open — Typically open late spring through early fall. Winter access is limited due to significant snowfall at the 6,500-foot elevation and steep access road conditions.

About

Five Springs Falls Campground is managed by the Bureau of Land Management and provides a scenic mountain escape in Big Horn County, Wyoming. Located approximately 22 miles east of Lovell on U.S. Highway 14A, the campground is accessed via a steep, narrow 2-mile road not suitable for RVs over 25 feet. The lower loop contains 9 campsites designed primarily for tent camping, each with a tent pad, fire ring, and picnic table. Site #1 serves as the host site and can accommodate a camp trailer. A water faucet near the host site is available for all visitors. From the lower loop parking area, a short hiking trail leads to an overlook of Five Springs Falls, with benches positioned along the route. The upper loop features 10 campsites with tent pads and fire rings, some designed as pull-through sites suitable for smaller camp trailers. This loop provides trailhead access to the Bighorn National Forest via what was once the historic U.S. Highway 14A. Benches near the toilet facility offer panoramic views of surrounding mountain ranges. Wildlife commonly seen includes deer, elk, moose, black bear, and mountain lion. The campground operates on a first-come, first-served basis with no advance reservations.
