About

Horseshoe Bend Campground is the primary campground in the south district of Bighorn Canyon National Recreation Area, located near Lovell, Wyoming. The campground offers 68 total sites ranging from unimproved tent sites to large RV sites with water and electrical hookups. All sites include a fire pit and picnic table, and eight improved sites feature wind fences for added comfort in the exposed high-desert environment. Amenities include modern flush restrooms, an RV dump station, and potable water, though water systems operate seasonally from Memorial Day through Labor Day. Electricity at hookup sites remains available year-round. The campground is operated by Hidden Treasure Charters, with most sites available first-come, first-served and approximately 10 sites reservable through the marina. The campground provides excellent access to Bighorn Lake recreation. Horseshoe Bend Marina, a boat launch, swim beach, and picnic areas are all within a one-mile hike. The area offers opportunities for boating, fishing, swimming, and wildlife viewing in the dramatic canyon landscape.
