About

Davis Lake Campground is a small, rustic campground located at 4,550 feet elevation in the Colville National Forest, offering stunning views of the 17-acre Davis Lake from each of its four campsites. This primitive campground operates on a first-come, first-served basis with no fees required. Each campsite includes a picnic table, fire pit, and tent pad, with a vault toilet available for all campers. Drinking water and garbage disposal are not provided, so visitors must bring their own water and pack out all trash. The campground can accommodate trailers up to 14 feet in length. Davis Lake is a non-motorized lake perfect for fishing and quiet recreation. A primitive boat launch made of rock and pebble provides water access for canoes, kayaks, and other non-motorized craft. The lake is stocked annually with cutthroat trout fry that grow to 9-12 inches, and two-pole fishing is permitted with a valid Washington state fishing license. Shoreline access is good with multiple openings along the east and west portions of the lake. Davis Lake Trail #92 is a short 0.7-mile trail that follows three-quarters of the lake perimeter, connecting to Forest Service Road 9565080 and looping back to the campground trailhead. Over 6.2 miles of OHV trails branch off from this area, though OHV use is prohibited within the campground itself. The area offers opportunities for day hiking, wildlife viewing, and enjoying the scenic mountain lake environment.
