Kanaskat-Palmer State Park Campground

Kanaskat-Palmer State Park sits on a wooded plateau overlooking the Green River, one of Western Washington's premier whitewater destinations. The campground provides 44 sites total: 25 standard tent/RV sites and 19 partial-hookup sites with water and electric connections. Sites accommodate vehicles up to 50 feet, though availability at that length is limited. Three yurts tucked into the forest offer an alternative to tent camping, and a group camp accommodates up to 80 people. The park's riverside location makes it a hub for paddlers tackling the Class III-IV Green River Gorge. Kayakers and rafters frequently use the park as a put-in or take-out. Beyond the river, 3 miles of hiking trails wind through second-growth forest, and anglers can fish for steelhead and salmon in season. Each campsite includes a fire pit and picnic table, and the campground provides modern restrooms with showers, potable water, and a dump station. Reservations are handled through Washington State Parks' online system at washington.goingtocamp.com or by calling (888) 226-7688. A Discover Pass is required for vehicle access.

From Enumclaw, take WA-169 north toward Black Diamond. Turn east onto SE Green Valley Road, then south onto Cumberland-Kanaskat Road. The park entrance is at 32101 Cumberland-Kanaskat Road, Ravensdale.
