Buttgenbach Campground at Croom Motorcycle Area is purpose-built for off-highway vehicle enthusiasts, offering direct access to one of Florida's premier OHV riding facilities. The campground is located within Withlacoochee State Forest in Hernando County, roughly 20 minutes northeast of Brooksville. All 50 campsites accommodate RVs or tents and include both electric hookups (30 and 50 amp service) and potable water connections. Facilities include two modern bathhouses with flush restrooms and hot showers, an RV dump station, fire rings, grills, and a dedicated ATV/dirt bike wash station. A pavilion is available for rent. The campground is open year-round, and overnight campers can ride the trails from sunrise to sunset. Reservations are available through Reserve America up to 11 months in advance. All campers must purchase an annual OHV pass before camping and must arrive before 5 PM on their first day for unit inspection and to receive the gate access code. Pets and alcohol are prohibited on the state-managed property. Cell service is unreliable and no WiFi is available.

From Brooksville, head northeast on US-41. Turn east on Croom Road and continue to La Rose Road. The campground is at 6420 La Rose Rd, Brooksville, FL 34602.
