About

Great Meadows Campground is a primitive drive-in campground located off Rock Creek-Bell Farm Road (Forest Road 137) in McCreary County, within the Stearns Ranger District of Daniel Boone National Forest. The campground features 18 sites suitable for both tent and RV camping, with a maximum RV length of 35 feet. Each site has a picnic table, and the facility is equipped with vault toilets that meet accessibility standards and potable drinking water available from faucets. The campground's main draw is its location adjacent to Rock Creek, a designated Kentucky Wild River that is regularly stocked with rainbow trout. A fishing pier provides easy access for anglers. The Raccoon Loop section of the campground runs along the creek, offering scenic waterside camping opportunities. This is a no-frills, no-hookup campground with no dump station or showers. Sites are first-come, first-served with no advance reservations. Payment is made on-site via fee envelope; cash or check only. Interagency Senior and Access pass holders receive a 50% discount on single sites only.
