About
Cultus Lake Campground is located along the Cascade Lakes National Scenic Byway on the shores of Cultus Lake in the Deschutes National Forest. As one of the few high Cascade lakes that allows high-speed motorized watercraft, it attracts boaters, waterskiers, jet skiers, and windsurfers seeking open water recreation opportunities. The campground offers both tent and RV camping with sites up to 40 feet, vault toilets, and seasonal drinking water from hand pumps. Campers can launch boats from a walk-in boat launch within the campground or use the more developed boat launch in the adjacent day use area. Beyond water recreation, the campground serves as a gateway to the Three Sisters Wilderness, with trails leading north into the backcountry. The lake also provides fishing opportunities and a gentle swimming area. The campground's location off Forest Road 4635 places visitors in the heart of Central Oregon's volcanic Cascade landscape.
