About
Crowley Lake Campground is operated by the Bureau of Land Management's Bishop Field Office and provides 47 developed campsites available on a first-come, first-served basis. Each site is equipped with a fire pit, picnic table, and lantern holder, though no hookups are available. The campground accommodates both RVs (maximum recommended length 30 feet) and tents, with potable water available throughout the facility. A dump station is on-site for a separate fee.
The campground's location offers spectacular views in all directions: Crowley Lake and the Glass Mountains to the east, and the Sierra Nevada including McGee Mountain and Canyon to the west. This scenic setting makes it a popular destination for outdoor recreation. Crowley Lake is well-known for trout fishing, particularly during the late April fishing opener, and also attracts boaters and windsurfers. The surrounding area offers excellent opportunities for horseback riding, hiking, and wildlife viewing.
Situated just off Highway 395, the campground is conveniently located 2 miles from the community of Crowley Lake and 10 miles south of Mammoth Lakes. Camping is limited to 14 consecutive days at this campground, not to exceed 28 days per calendar year across all Bishop Field Office campgrounds. The facility operates seasonally from May through October.
Directions
From US Highway 395, take the Crowley Lake exit and proceed west through the Crowley Lake community for 2 miles. Turn north (right) onto Crowley Lake Drive and proceed 2 miles. Follow signs to the campground.
