About
Crooked Creek Lake Pavilions is a day-use facility operated by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, consisting of six group picnic shelters available for reservation. This is not an overnight camping facility. The pavilions are rented in half-day AM and PM time slots for picnics, special events, and group gatherings.
Three pavilion areas serve distinct purposes: Independence Pavilion sits on the beach road with a ball field and horseshoe pits; Heritage Pavilion on Overlook Road offers views of the dam and control tower; Justice Pavilion behind the park office provides a private setting near a small pond and the 9-hole disc golf course. Independence and Heritage have flush restrooms nearby, while Justice has a vault toilet.
Crooked Creek Lake itself offers extensive recreation including swimming at the sandy beach, fishing for bass, muskie, sunfish, and crappie, boating with a public launch, and hiking on trails including the 141-mile Baker Trail. Campers seeking overnight stays should book the separate Crooked Creek Lake Campground, which has 45-46 family sites.
