About
Crooked Creek Lake Pavilions consists of six group picnic shelters operated by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers at Crooked Creek Lake, a flood control project completed in 1940. The facility offers day-use pavilion rentals with electric hookups, providing groups access to scenic views, recreational amenities, and nearby lake activities.
The pavilions are spread across the park: Independence Pavilion on the beach road features a ball field and horseshoe pits with flush restrooms nearby; Heritage Pavilion on Overlook Road offers panoramic views of the dam and control tower with horseshoe pits and ball field access; Justice Pavilion sits behind the park office near a small pond and provides access to the disc golf course with vault toilet facilities. All pavilions include picnic tables and grills.
Crooked Creek Lake provides opportunities for boating, fishing, swimming at the sandy beach, and exploring miles of scenic shoreline. The 141-mile Baker Trail crosses through the property. Pavilion rentals require reservations through Recreation.gov and are governed by Title 36 Code of Federal Regulations. Alcoholic beverages are prohibited, and setup is not permitted before 8 a.m.
